Academic Affairs Annex
Acquired in 1980 from Southern Bank and Trust Company, Inc., the renovated building houses the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Alumni Cross Walk
Completed in 2000, the Alumni Cross Walk is made of the actual red bricks from the original school buidling located on Breazeale Avenue,which was purchased by the College in 1953. The brick walkway is in the shape of a Celtic cross symbolizing our Christian Heritage - the foundation of the College. The Nido and Mariana Qubein Garden House is superimposed on the center of the brick walkway sheltering a pedestal containing the cornerstone and bell from the original campus and surrounded by four beautifully landscaped gardens. As one sits on a marble bench and walks the pathway of names, the Alumni Cross Walk is a reminder of our founders' vision; a manifestation of pride in the accomplishments of the College's alumni; and a symbol of our hopes, dreams and prayers for the future.
College Apartments
Constructed in 1985, the Apartments house 56 residents in air-conditioned private bedrooms with kitchen, dining, and living room facilities. Each unit can house four persons. Residence priority is given to upper-level students who meet specified criteria. Each apartment is wired and connected for telephone hook-up, cable TV, and internet access.
Communications Building
Completed in 2006, the Communications Building, which is a companion to Moye Library, enables the College's six locations to function as a single institution with the aid of state-of-the-art delivery systems including video conferencing, video streaming and wireless networks. It houses all of the College's servers and internet connections and is the central hub for the new IP telephone system. There are offices and work areas for Information Technology and for Institutional Planning and Support. There is also be a 20-user open computer lab on the ground floor. The second floor of the Communications Building has larger space that houses the College's ever-expanding special collections, including the Free Will Baptist Collection and an office for the Collection's curator.
Jim Coats House
A branch of the Business Office which houses the Assistant Vice President for Finance-Accounting, Controller's Office, Payroll Processing, and Accounts Payable.
Kornegay Arena
Completed in 1984, the athletics/physical education/convention center provides space for several classrooms, some faculty offices and educational, cultural, civic, and religious events as well as recreational facilities for college, church, and community groups. The building was named in memory of George and Annie Dail Kornegay in 2005.
King-Hart-Griffin Residence Halls Complex
The women's residence halls complex, completed in 1966, consists of three air-conditioned buildings for 130 students. The central unit, which includes the master lounge for visitors, is named in memory of W. F. and Jesse C. Hart of Ayden, NC, in recognition of their pioneer work for Christian higher education among Free Will Baptists. Griffin Hall, the west unit, is named for the late Reverend Jesse B. Griffin of New Bern, NC, an esteemed and beloved FWB minister. A laundry room with automatic washers and dryers, a concession area, and a television lounge are provided. Each room is wired and connected for telephone hook-up, cable TV, and internet access.
Galloway Music Library
Dedicated in 1995 to the memory of Jesse Randall and Carrie Rowland Lewis Galloway and presented to the College by their daughter, Mrs. Josie G. Loudenslager, the library contains music for performing groups, musical scores, recordings, and other learning resources for the College's music program in Laughinghouse Hall.
Grantham Hall
First occupied in 1970, the men's residence hall is an air-conditioned, three-story structure for 126 students, two per room. It was dedicated in 1977 to Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Grantham of New Bern, North Carolina, benefactors of the College. A laundry room with automatic washers and dryers, a television lounge, and concession area are provided. Each room is wired and connected for telephone hook-up, cable TV, and internet access.
Henderson Hall
The first building on the new campus was completed in 1965 and named in memory of Dr. C. C. Henderson (1877-1963), a Mount Olive physician and a major benefactor of the College. It houses faculty offices and classroom space and student lounge areas.
Laughinghouse Hall
Completed in 1995, Jesse R. Laughinghouse Hall houses the Department of Fine Arts and features the Teresa Pelt Grubbs Art Gallery, computer labs, darkroom facilities, and lighting studios. This building was made possible by a gift from the late Mrs. Hilda Laughinghouse in memory of her husband, who served as a trustee of the College from 1983 to 1985.
Lois K. Murphy Regional Center
The Lois K. Murphy Regional Center serves as a dining and meeting facility for the campus and the community. A gift of Wendell H. Murphy and members of the Murphy family in honor of their mother, the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center was completed in 1993 and houses the Alumni Dining Hall, the President's Room, the Hennessee Room, and the Student Center.
Moore Williams Fieldhouse
Completed and dedicated in 2000, the fieldhouse accommodates baseball locker rooms, coaches offices, and a press box.
Mount Olive College at Goldsboro
Mount Olive College at Goldsboro is located at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. The Base provides classroom facilities for the instructional program. In continuous operation since 1975, the Goldsboro location operates according to a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Air Force to provide educational services to military personnel and area civilians. As a Servicemembers Opportunity College, Mount Olive College at Goldsboro meets the scheduling needs of a highly mobile military force by offering courses in five terms annually, each term being nine weeks long. Students can fulfill requirements for associate degrees in general studies, accounting, and business administration or baccalaureate degrees in accounting, business management, criminal justice, human resource development, psychology, and computer information systems.
Mount Olive College at Jacksonville
Opened in Summer 2009, Mount Olive College at Jacksonville provides office and classroom facilities for Mount Olive College programs offered in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The Jacksonville location offers modular degree completion programs and selected general education courses.
Mount Olive College at New Bern
Opened in Fall 1993, Mount Olive College at New Bern provides office and classroom facilities for Mount Olive College programs offered in New Bern, North Carolina. The New Bern location offers modular degree completion programs, selected general education courses, and CLEP and DANTES examinations.
Mount Olive College at the Research Triangle Park
Opened in Fall 1997, the Research Triangle Park location provides office and classroom facilities for Mount Olive College programs offered in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. The location offers modular degree completion programs, selected general education courses, and DANTES examinations.
Mount Olive College at Washington
Opened in October 2005, the Washington location provides office and classroom facilities for Mount Olive College programs offered in Washington, North Carolina. The location offers modular degree completion programs, selected general education courses, and CLEP and DANTES examinations.
Mount Olive College at Wilmington
Opened in Fall 1995, the Wilmington location provides office and classroom facilities for Mount Olive College programs offered in Wilmington, North Carolina. The location offers modular degree completion programs, selected general education courses, and CLEP and DANTES examinations.
Moye Library
Completed in 1968, the library was named in memory of the Reverend and Mrs. James Clayton Moye in appreciation for their promotion of the College in its early years and for the establishment of the first library trust fund. In addition to housing books, microtext, audiovisual materials, government documents, serials, and other resources, space is also provided for the Free Will Baptist Historical Collection, a separate library containing materials on the history of the Free Will Baptist denomination, related college archives, and memorabilia. Study space for both individuals and groups, a conference room, and provisions for electronic access to and retrieval of resources world wide enable the library to provide a variety of resources and services to students at all locations, as well as to the local community and the region.
Pelletier Creek House
Located at Morehead City, North Carolina, the Pelletier Creek House provides a center for conferences, seminars, and retreats for college, church, and business groups.
Poole Administration Building
A gift of the Roy W. Poole family of Kinston, North Carolina, the Poole Administration Building was completed in 1991 and houses the offices of the President, Admissions and Financial Aid, the MOC Press, the Business Office, and the Bookstore. In 1998, the building was named in honor of the Poole family.
Pope Wellness Center
Completed in 2006, Pope Wellness Center, ia a 23,500 square-foot facility, designed to meet the health and wellness needs of the Mount Olive community as well as Eastern North Carolina. It features state-of-the-art fitness equipment complete with treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights and more. A separate yoga/aerobics room has wall-to-wall mirrors, providing space for individual use and classroom instruction. A regulation-size basketball court within the center can be subdivided into two smaller courts for other play, such as volleyball. Additional conveniences include locker rooms, showers and dressing areas. Health Services, student counseling and an intercollegiate athletic training facility reside inside Pope Wellness Center.
Rodgers Chapel
Completed in 1974, the Rodgers Chapel is located in the heart of the campus and was made possible in part by a gift from the late Mrs. Sarah Condon Rodgers in memory of her husband, Will R. Rodgers.
Student Center
Located in the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center, the Student Center contains offices for the student development staff; the James B. Hunt, Sr., Student Lounge; the James Allen (Tinker) Best Game Room; and student mailboxes.
W. Burkette and Rose M. Raper Hall
Completed in 2006, Raper Hall, named after president emeritus W. Burkette Raper and his wife Rose M. Raper, is a 46,218 square-foot complex which houses the Tillman School of Business, Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center, and Department of Science and Mathematics. Within the same two-story building is the Mount Olive Pickle Conference Center and Southern Bank Auditorium for hosting conferences, forums, training meetings and workshops. The complex offers student's state-of-the-art facilities with modern classrooms and laboratories, provide resources to further develop business and science curricula and ultimately provide space for graduate education in business.
Waylin Centre
The Waylin Centre, divided into four bays, houses staff offices including the Registrar's Office, the Student Success Center (Career Center, Teaching and Learning Center, Disability Services), and the Office of Institutional Advancement (Development, Alumni Relations, Church Support, Planned Giving, Public Affairs, Marketing and Special Events).
