CDS: Common Data Set
The Common Data Set (CDS) contains institutional data that is typically requested by survey providers such as Peterson’s and U.S. News & World Report. In an effort to minimize the labor to provide the same information to various surveys, the community of higher education created the Common Data Set Initiative. The Mount Olive College CDS is updated annually in the spring.

Clery Act: Campus Crime Statistics Report
The Campus Crime Statistics Report is completed annually in October in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. The Clery Act is a federal law that requires institutions to provide campus crime data that occurs on and/or around their campuses. This Act, established in 1990, is in response to the assault and murder of Jeanne Clery on April 5, 1986 in her residence hall.
This notification is provided as a part of Mount Olive College's commitment to safety on campus. The college is committed to providing a safe and secure environment to all of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Like any community, the college community occasionally experiences accidents, crimes and injuries; absolute safety cannot be guaranteed to anyone. The Campus Crime Statistics Report charts the most recent three-year period for each Mount Olive College location. Campus Crime Statistics may be requested from the Office of Student Development 634 Henderson ST, Mount Olive, NC 28365.

Assessment
Institution Climate Survey
2009
The Institutional Self-Assessment Survey (ISAS), is an important part of the Campus Climate Study undertaken by Mount Olive College. Used with the Adult Learner Inventory (ALI), an instrument administered to students, the results of the ISAS can help the College leadership pinpoint the institution's strengths and areas for improvement.
Mount Olive College asks faculty and staff for assistance by empowering or nominating colleagues to help complete the ISAS. Members of the MOC faculty and staff community are asked to complete portions of the instrument that relate specifically to their area or department. Mount Olive College requires a good representation of all departments and all locations, as well as those who work with both traditional and non-traditional students, to make this study a success.
