GER AND ELECTIVE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

The above calendars are subject to change. Courses that have insufficient enrollment will be offered at a later date. Instructor availability may also effect which courses are conducted.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  1. Please be advised that as of July 1, 2010, tuition will be $380.00 per credit hour.
  2. Registration for courses will be taken up to one week prior to the start of the term as indicated.  No exceptions will be made to this policy.
  3. To enroll in a course, a Mount Olive College RTP GER/Elective enrollment form must be completed and submitted to your Assessment Counselor.
  4. The completed enrollment forms MUST be accompanied by a $50 non-refundable deposit in order to secure your enrollment. This deposit is required of all students, including those receiving financial aid. For students covered with some form of financial aid, this deposit will be credited to their account if they attend the class.
  5. Students not covered in full with some form of financial aid, veterans' benefits or employer subsidy, all tuition and book costs must be paid by the start of the first session.
  6. Courses dropped after the first class meeting and prior to the second class meeting will be given a complete refund. Courses dropped after the second class meeting and beyond will receive a grade of "W" or "F" and be charged in full.
  7. Please ensure the course you are signing up for is required for your program, and meets general education or elective requirements.  If you are not certain, consult your Assessment Counselor.
  8. In the event that a class fills and a waiting list becomes a necessity, those students who signed up earliest will be admitted should a seat become available.
  9. All courses are held on a Monday through Thursday evening and meet from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

DROPPING A COURSE:

Notification to drop a class must be submitted in writing (on paper or via email) to your program Assessment Counselor. To avoid being charged for a class, a withdrawal form must be completed prior to 6 p.m. on the second night of class. Students are responsible for notifying MOC at RTP and contacting the Business Office for a refund. No course can be dropped after the midway point of the class. Any student who does not follow proper procedure will receive a grade of F and be charged for the course.
*Please see the 2009-2010 MOC catalog page 68 for more information/clarification.
