Scholarship and Grant Opportunities

Grants and scholarships - funds that do not have to be repaid - are available for Mount Olive College students. Depending on need and residency, US citizens and NC residents are eligible for certain grants.

  • North Carolina residents who attend private colleges as fulltime students are eligible for the NC Legislative Tuition Grant (NC LTG) at $975 per semester. The NC State Contractual Scholarship, which is variable according to need and availability, is also available to NC residents with financial need. NC LTG and NC State Contractual grant amounts may vary from semester to semester depending on NC General Assembly funding.
  • Mount Olive College also participates in federal grant programs. US citizens and permanent residents who apply for and have financial need may be eligible for the Pell Grant, maximum $5,350 in 2009-2010.
  • Mount Olive College participates in tuition assistance programs for active duty personnel, reservists, National Guard members, and veterans. Wives, widows, and children of disabled, deceased, or POW-MIA veterans may also be eligible for some benefits.   • Mount Olive College participates in several tuition assistance programs offered by the State of North Carolina: NC National Guard, NC Vocational Rehabilitation, and NC Division of Services for the Blind.   • Traditional students, that is students attending the Mount Olive College daytime program offered at the Mount Olive location, are also eligible for various scholarship programs including Honors , Leadership, Free Will Baptist, ministerial, athletics, art and music. US citizens, NC residents, and international students who plan to enroll in the traditional daytime program may be considered for these programs. Each program has specific eligibility criteria.
