**Important note for new freshmen:
After you move in or attend the session for commuter students, you will begin activities required through the Freshman Seminar (ADV 112) course. These activities are required and attendance will be taken, so stay tuned for more details about when and where you are to meet for class.
ADV 112 is designed to orient new students to the traditions, purposes, and expections on a college education. Through lectures, guest speakers, assignments, and activities you will learn about the MOC campus and the resources that are available to help you achieve a rewarding and successful academic program. This course is required for all first-year students. If you have not yet declared a major, your ADV 112 instructor will serve as your academic advisor. There will also be upperclass students present during each session to answer any questions you may have about the campus. These students are your Freshman Mentors.
