MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO FLORIDA SOUTHERN 2-0Mount Olive had its streak of six consecutive season-opening victories snapped as the Trojans fell to Florida Southern 2-0 in non-conference men's soccer Thursday at Amon Field. A save on the fly denied Frank Boateng a goal in the first half on a 40-yard shot. Full Story
WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO UNC PEMBROKE 3-1Lindsey Stanley's penalty kick in the 44th minute gave Mount Olive a 1-0 halftime lead, but UNC Pembroke scored three goals in the final 20 minutes to defeat the Trojans 3-1 in non-conference women's soccer Thursday at Pembroke, N.C.
Mount Olive, which placed fourth at last year's conference championship, has been picked third in the 2010 Conference Carolinas Preseason Men's Cross Country Poll, as voted on by the conference head coaches. The Trojans finished 10th at last year's NCAA II Southeast Regional. The men's race in the MOC Green and White/Alumni Meet takes place Friday at 5 p.m. Full Story

MOC ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2010 ANNOUNCEDWells Gulledge (men's basketball), Steve Hudson (baseball) and the late Brad Mitchell (coach/administrator) make up the Class of 2010 in the Mount Olive College Athletics Hall of Fame. The three will be inducted during ceremonies November 20 as part of Pickle Classic Weekend. Gulledge, Hudson and Mitchell comprise the fifth Hall of Fame class since its inception in 2006. The trio represent the NCAA Division II, NAIA and Junior College eras of Mount Olive College. Full Story
