Trojans Third After First Round Of St. Andrews Spring Invitational
Kristin Moberg is tied for third out of 31 golfers and Mount Olive is third out of six teams after Monday's first round of the St. Andrews Women's Golf Spring Invitational at Vass, N.C.
Moberg shot a 40 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine for an 85. Tegan Skirpstas is tied for 13th (46-50—96), Valentina Urquiola is 18th (48-52—100), Deborah Woodrum is 22nd (49-54—103) and Brooke Newell is tied for 24th (55-52—107).
The Trojans carded a team total of 384. St. Leo holds the first round lead.
The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday.
