Trojans 10th After First Round Of J. Ralph Hargett Invitational
Kristin Moberg is tied for 13th out of 63 golfers after Monday’s first round of the J. Ralph Hargett Women’s Golf Invitational at Wingate, N.C., hosted by Wingate University. Mount Olive is 10th out of 12 teams, but is only 12 shots out of the top five.
Moberg carded a 42 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine for an 82. Valentina Urquiola (39-46—85) and Tegan Skirpstas (40-45—85) are tied for 22nd, Deborah Woodrum 49-47—96 is tied for 54th and Lindsay Becker (56-53—109) is 61st.
Mount Olive carded a team score of 348. Pfeiffer is the first round leader by six shots with a 322. The Trojans are only 12 strokes behind fifth-place Catawba (336).
The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday.
