April 29, 2009 -Hinrichs Honored at MOC Awards Day
MOUNT OLIVE – Kyle Hinrichs of Pullman, West Virginia received the M. L. Johnson Business Award during Mount Olive College’s Annual Awards Day.
The M. L. Johnson Business Award is a scholarship in memory of M. L. Johnson (1916-1969), the first Treasurer/Business Manager of Mount Olive College (1951-1961). The scholarship is given to a rising senior selected by the business faculty for greatest promise in the field of business.
Hinrichs, a senior business management major, is the son of Phillip and Pamela Hinrichs. He attends Pullman Presbyterian Church. Hinrichs is a member of Trojans for Hope and the MOC baseball team.
“Kyle has shown exemplary efforts and creativity in class and we both feel Kyle shows great promise in the field of business,” said Dr. David Hill, chair of the Department of Management and Human Resources at MOC and Dr. Doug Hood, assistant professor of Management and Human Resources.
Mount Olive College is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values. The College, sponsored by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists, has locations in Mount Olive, New Bern, Wilmington, Goldsboro, Research Triangle Park and Washington.
