Mount Olive College Choir to Perform Christmas Concert

MOUNT OLIVE-The Mount Olive College Concert Choir will present its annual fall concert at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1 at the First Baptist Church at 300 North Chestnut Street in Mount Olive.

The concert will consist of Christmas selections including John Rutter’s Angel’s Carol, Shepherd’s Pipe Carol and What Sweeter Music.  Music will also be presented by the Mount Olive College Chamber Choir and Free Spirit, and the concert will conclude with a performance of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.

“Each of the vocal groups at Mount Olive College is composed of strong singers, all of whom are diligently working to bring the composer's intentions to life. It should be a beautiful night of holiday music,” says Dr. Melanie Crump, director of the Mount Olive College Concert Choir.

The performance is free and the public is invited to attend.  Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  For more information about the concert, contact Dr. Crump at 919-658- 2502.
